Welcome to the Aspiring Travel and Tourism Professional programme at Wirral Met. This programme has been designed to give you the skills and knowledge to start your journey towards your dream career in the exciting Travel and Tourism industry. Alongside developing your technical abilities, the programme will help you to get work ready by building on your confidence and interpersonal skills.
You will have the opportunity to try out a range of subject areas related to
the Travel and Tourism industry, allowing you to explore different career paths
and discover your strengths before progressing onto a Level 2
qualification.
The programme will help you to improve your Maths and English, develop technical skills, gain work experience and get involved in extra-curricular activities and tutorials. It has been designed to help you develop professionally and supports your progression.
Alongside subject specific knowledge you'll have the opportunity to
improve your Maths, English and Digital skills — essential for helping you get a
job in the future.
You will benefit from the guidance of passionate and experienced teachers
who are invested in your success. They will provide personalised support,
constructive feedback, and a listening ear every step of the way.

This is a Study Programme for students aged 16-18 years.
If you are yet to gain any formal qualifications (e.g. GCSE's) you will be enrolled onto our Aspiring Professionals Programme which is perfect for progression to further study at level 2 or alternatively an apprenticeship route into employment.
Basic levels of literacy and numeracy are required for you to study at this level (grade 2 or below in English/Maths)
